FBN: New Rating System Elevates Schools Accountability Rankings Across The State, FBISD Included!

"This year’s TEA rankings improved overall across Texas, in part because of a new “growth measure” the agency calls the “Texas Projection Measure,” which gives schools credit for students’ academic growth, or their projected ability to pass TAKS tests in future years."

"...Despite the individual campus achievements, the state gave FBISD an overall district ranking of “Academically Acceptable.” FBN

This year the Texas Accountability System allowed districts to use a new measure which allows projections of future performance, which was quite controversial when first introduced by many educational experts. It has had the desired political effect of raising scores across the state. FBISD is no exception, however FBISD remains ranked only "academically acceptable" once again this year.
