Teaching Grant Awards Made Available-

Fort Bend ISD Gets $4.5M In Grant Money For Teacher Excellence Rewards

Fort Bend Independent School District has received more than $4.5 million in grant money that can be used to reward deserving classroom teachers, mentors, principals or other campus employees.

The money - $4,519,368, was identified in an FBISD board meeting agenda item as District Awards for Teacher Excellence Program.

According to district Chief Financial Officer Mike Seale, at least 60% of the money “will be used to reward classroom teachers that positively impact student academic improvement, growth and/or achievement.”
