FBN: FBISD Proposed Academies

Fort Bend ISD Academy Proposal – What Will It Cost?
by John Pape, Fortbendnow
Final in a four-part series

One of the Fort Bend Independent School District’s major initiatives over the next few years will be the development of an academy system, effectively creating a specialized school within each of the district’s high school campuses.

According to information recently provided by FBISD administration to trustees in a presentation on the academy system, the budget for year-one implementation is expected to cost $275,000 per academy.
