"Apparently the district thinks this process is like golf and is trying to take a mulligan at the expense of these teacher's rights," stated Karrie Washenfelder, President Fort Bend Employee Federation, in a communication announcing the district’s meeting to attempt the repair.

FBISD Chief Communications Officer Mary Ann Simpson informed the Star that the district did not meet on Tuesday with representatives from the teachers’ union during a scheduled meeting and also affirmed the district’s position relating to completing the reduction in force (RIF) process and to a commitment to accommodate departing notified employees as vacancies become available..."
